My healthy essentials

You can now shop my fave healthy essentials on our blog under the Shop Fit Tab!!

Here is a round- up of some of my favorite things:

I found this Integral Collagen from a great Skinny Girl Vanilla Tea Lattes website: Trim Healthy Mama.  I put this in my coffee every morning, and can't taste it at all.  It dissolves very easily.  I can tell a major difference in my hair and nails since I have been using this!

Love me some warm, caffeinated beverages, especially this time of the year.  These Skinny Girl Vanilla Tea Latte's are my go-to!  With only 1.5 grams of fat, 50 calories, and 5 grams of sugar, they are a much healthy option than hitting up Starbucks all the time.

Speaking of coffee, I have raved about these for a while.  Nut Pods Coffee Creamer is the best tasting, healthiest creamer I can find.  Dairy free, Whole 30 approved, No Sugar...on and on.  It's super healthy and tastes great.  Its also good to travel with because you just have to refrigerate after you open them.  They come in some flavors too!  My favorite sweetener is Truvia, its the best tasting one I have found. I put it in my coffee, and unsweetened tea!

GG Crackers are my go to for all my dipping options.  I use them like I use chips.  I dip them in Hummus, Salsa, Taziki Dip, you name it. You can also eat them with Tuna Fish on top, or make a "Pizza" with marinara and some cheese. They are super high in fiber and only have 2 net carbs.

I can't live without Low Carb Wraps!  Always try to wrap it up with one of these high fiber, low carb delicious wraps instead of bread: Flat Our Protein Up or Mama Lupe Low Carb Tortilla

Try Powdered Peanut Butter to any shake you make for extra flavor.  I also will just mix this with some almond milk when I am craving sweets.

Oil Powder is another staple that goes in my coffee.  MCT is a fat that provides you with energy, and its easier on your tummy that MCT oil.

These are just a few of my faves!  I will keep updating the Shop Fit tab as I find more healthy essentials.

Velvet Crush

There is nothing more classic than a black velvet dress during the holidays!  It's the perfect option for Christmas Eve or even a New Year's Eve party.  You can dress it down by pairing with tights and booties or go bare legged with sandals to make it more festive.

If you're scrambling for a last minute party look, then velvet pieces are a no-brainer.  They are the perfect backdrop to let fun accessories shine!  I personally love sticking with classic + neutral clothing and adding in festive pops.

These J.Crew stunners are currently marked down to $21.99 (60% off!)

Don't forget a bold lip- this Tom Ford lipstick in Flame has been my fave red for many years!

Christmas Countdown Gift Guide

Not that I necessarily "need" anything, but if any family member or friend is curious, here is my list!  This is also a great wishlist for any female in your life (i.e. mom, sister, friend).  You can casually email this blog post to your hubby or significant other as well!

Don't forget the men in your life!  Sometimes they are truly the hardest people to buy for.  I've already snatched up some of these items for my hubby and dad!

These are the gifts I'm always rushing around to find last minute!  These are great for teachers, friends, or stocking stuffers.

Happy Shopping!

Berry Lips

Danna <our lovely Beauty Consultant> is back with all the details on perfecting a bold berry lip!

As the cooler weather is coming in and sweaters are coming out, a fun way to switch up your makeup is with a deeper darker lip. I know a lot of you are saying, you can’t wear dark lips, but you can with a few tips and tricks!

~  I would suggest using a fuller matte coverage foundation. You want to cover up any shadows or redness in your skin in order to allow the lips to be the focal point of the look.

~  2  Use a heavy hand when applying your blush. You don’t want to look washed out or dead when you’re wearing a vampy lip. A little extra blush will balance out the lip.

~  Eyes should be kept simple. Try a neutral matte shadow all over lid and crease then go over the lid with a bit of shimmer. To save time and money, use your highlighter for the lid. Balance out the dark lip by using black winged eyeliner. Curl your lashes and add tons and tons of mascara.

~  If your lips are uneven, use a lip pencil and spend some time over drawing them where you need to add fullness.

~  Apply the lipstick in thin layers to make it wear longer, then go back in with your pencil and perfect where you have overdrawn your lips. If you have smaller lips, use a matte lipstick, if you have fuller lips, you could get away with using a satin.

~  After you have applied your lipstick, step back and look at yourself in the mirror and make sure everything is cohesive. You can adjust the look by adding a bit more eyeshadow and/or blush. If you’re still not comfortable with the look, dab off a bit of the lipstick to get more of a stained look instead of it being completely opaque.
