What's in my Coffee??

I don't know about you, but my excitement for my Cup of Joe in the morning is a big factor of me getting out of my nice cozy bed.  My husband gives me a hard time about all my "coffee steps" every morning.  So what is in my coffee??  Or maybe the better question is: what is not in my coffee??

First off my beautiful White Keurig 2.0.  I just got this not too long ago, and I am obsessed (Mother's Day gift anyone?!).  It is so pretty!  I usually do the middle (6 ounce) amount of coffee. Some of my favorite K cups are the Donut House.  If you like a little flavor, Starbucks has some great flavors like Toasted Graham and Vanilla.

One scoop of Collagen Powder.  I have a few I like: Vital Proteins, and Trim Healthy Mama. As we age, our bodies natural Collagen production starts to break down.  So it's important to incorporate Collagen into our supplliment routine.  Some of the many benefits to Collagen Powder are:
  • Improve health of your hair and nails ( I can really tell a difference in my nails)
  • Reduction of Join Pain
  • Metabolism Boost
  • Cardiovascular Health
One scoop of MCT Oil Powder.  Benefits of MCT Oil (from Medical News Today):
  • Energy boost and increased endurance
  • Weight loss and improved weight management
  • Lowered cholesterol and blood sugar levels
Now onto making your coffee taste its best.  My favorite sweetener is Truvia.  A little bit of that packet goes a long way, so I just use half of the pack per cup.  For creamer my favorite go to is dairy free Nut Pods.  They are Whole 30 approved with no sugar, so you can use as much as you like.

I have found a new good creamer option too if you need a little more treat in your coffee.  I do a tiny splash of this and it is delicious. Natural Bliss Honey Creamer with 3 grams of sugar and 25 calories for serving.

Most importantly I froth my coffee with this nifty Electric Milk Frother.  I am not really sure how I have drank coffee without this thing before.  It is the best!  I blends all the ingredients perfectly, and leaves a nice froth at the top.  It is a game changer and only $15.  I highly recommend this.

Remember these delicious SkinnyGirl Vanilla Latte K Cups. if you don't like coffee.

XOXO,
Crystal
